Fahmida Hossain is an artist and architect. Her works are inspired by her dreams, the surrounding nature, and the problems in our society. The occurrences that she faces every day and her emotions drive her to do the artwork. Fahmida defines her works as personal, dystopian, ambiguous, and symbolic. Mostly, she does photography, sketches, animation, and experiments mixing different media. Freedom of expression, the human body, equity, and violence against women are her spheres of interest.
Fahmida studied architecture at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She is pursuing an MFA in Intermedia and Digital Arts (IMDA) at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
